The word antisemitismus (antisemitism) was created in Germany, a term coined by political agitator Wilhelm Marr in 1879 to replace the word Judenhaß (Jew-hatred), trying to make it seem rational and sanctioned by scientific nonsense.

The Soviets went in the 1960s a step further by replacing the epithet antisemitism with anti-Zionism, based on “The Protocols of Learned Elders of Zion”, an antisemitic hoax and forgery published in Russia in 1903 purporting to detail a Jewish plot for global domination.

But not only the Soviets. Texts and quotes from these “Protocols” can be found in the German Nazi’s “Final Solution”, passed in the Wannsee conference, in the charters of the PLO and Hamas, many proclamations by the Islamic Terror Republic of Iran, in Al Jazeera, the propaganda outlet of the Terror Emirate of Qatar, in UNWRA and PA educational curricula, in anti-Israel UN, UNHRC, UNICEF and other UN resolutions, in lectures of woke professors in western academia, and so on. The list of long.

Anti-Zionism has become a popular libel used by antisemites nowadays, asserting that it has “nothing to do with antisemitism”. Most, if not all of these anti-Zionists don’t even know what Zionism is, namely a civil rights and liberation movement to reestablish Israel, the Jewish homeland where Jews were indigenous and have remained there, though in smaller numbers as a result of a multitude of vicious invaders and occupiers. Even the Qur’an Surah Al-Isra 17:104 refers to Zionism. In 1948 Israel regained its independence. Zionism has reached its goal: Israel exists and will persevere, no matter what it takes.

Antisemitism, and by extension anti-Zionism, is plain Jew-hatred, or hostility to, prejudice towards, or discrimination against Jews. It is as old as the first Jew. The designation applies to 3000 years of perpetual antisemitism: persecutions, expulsions, jihad, crusades, dhimmitude, inquisition, slavery, pogroms, Holocaust, wars, missile barrages, terrorist attacks, assassinations, lynchings, hijackings, boycotts, lawfare. Antisemitism has always been there, and it will always be there. It explodes, then sometimes short periods of feigned remorse follow, but it subsequently always rears its head again.

Jews have been persecuted because Jews are just disparate. Not by choice, but because Jews are labeled as such. Jews were the most conspicuous non-Christian minority in Europe before WW2. Nowadays Jews are the most conspicuous non-Muslim presence in an Islamic Middle East.

Hatred of Jews says nothing about Jews and everything about the haters’ own fears, ignorance and insecurities. It boils down to the fact that Jews, through faith and culture, possess a number of favorable qualities that can simply not be held against them. Why are Jews reproached for being intelligent, or making beautiful music, or being able to write brilliantly? Why express one’s displeasure about someone’s intelligence or artistic achievements? But if it is true that Jews actually possess a number of favorable qualities, then I can imagine that certain people would out of jealousy look for something else to negate that. Jews are being banned from performing in concert halls and music venues. Jews have been, and still are against all odds, successful in a multitude of fields, but Jews are no longer allowed to collaborate with western universities. Jewish humor is known to be funny, but those funny Jews are no longer allowed to perform. “Boycott” is the war cry.

Much of the intimidation and accusations against Israel are provoked by aggressive mainstream and social media blitzes, Israel ‘Apartheid’ weeks, vicious and violent pro-Palestine marches, anti-Israel NGOs, BDS campaigns and anti-Israel UN resolutions passed by the majority of its members, who happen to be the world’s dictatorships, tyrannies, theocracies and corrupted nations. The intellect of antisemites, anti-Zionists and Israel-haters is limited to expletives, banal clichés and groundless slogans, accusing Jews of genocide, famine, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, or being invaders, occupiers, colonists, racists, baby killers, land plunderers, organ thieves, Khazars, Zionazis, Nazis, Fascists, white supremacists, raiders of Al-Aqsa, and so much more. Presumably, not being an antisemite is an anomaly.

Hate begins with Jews but never ends with Jews. In a world awash with hatred across religious and ethnic divides, people of all faiths and ethnicities must stand together, not just to defeat antisemitism, but to ensure that the rights of religious and ethnic minorities are defended everywhere.

De vijanden van Israël hebben beschuldigingen van genocide in de huidige Gaza-oorlog zonder enige scrupules meedogenloos rondgebazuind. Wie zijn deze vijanden? Een ratjetoe aan staatshoofden en ministers, gecorrumpeerde VN-functionarissen, radicale universiteiten, gehersenspoelde beroemdheden de met propaganda geïnfecteerde mainstream media en honderden NGO’s, veelal door Qatar en de moslimbroederschap gefinancierd, met voorop Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International en B’Tselem, die alle drie identieke valse ‘genocide in Gaza rapporten’ hebben gepubliceerd, zoals al hun voorgaande ‘rapporten’ over vermeende apartheid, hongersnood en etnische zuiveringen. Echter was is enkel frauduleus bericht gebaseerd op harde, onomstotelijke feiten. De enkelvoudige bron van deze lawine aan berichten was het propaganda-apparaat van Qatar, Al Jazeera en Hamas, vaak onder illusoire namen, zoals Gaza Ministerie van Gezondheid, Gaza Civiele Bescherming, Gaza Health Ministry, Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, doctors of Kamal Adwan Military Hospital, Gaza Government Media Office (GMO), Gaza Civil Service, Gaza Ministry of Social Affairs, Al-Aqsa TV en Radio, e.d. De eerder genoemde organisaties en personen nemen deze propagandistische berichten klakkeloos over. Israëlische bronnen worden genegeerd, en als ze vermeld worden, dan worden ze in twijfel getrokken. Hoe zit het dan met die vermeende ‘genocide’?

Ten eerste wijst niets in het voeren van Israël in zijn verdedigingsoorlog tegen Hamas op enige intentie om de bevolking van Gaza te elimineren. Integendeel, het beleid van Israël laat precies het tegenovergestelde zien: opmerkelijk effectieve inspanningen om de burgerbevolking van Gaza te beschermen.

Ten tweede wijst niets in de demografie van het dodental in Gaza erop dat Israël zich daadwerkelijk op onschuldige Palestijnen heeft gericht. Integendeel, nogmaals, het tegenovergestelde: feiten tonen aan dat in het gerapporteerde dodental in Gaza de vele tienduizenden geëlimineerde terroristen niet vermeld wordt. Bovendien blijkt uit het totale aantal doden in het conflict dat het een van de minst dodelijke oorlogen voor de bevolking van de vijand is in vergelijking met enig eerder conflict in de deze en vorige eeuw. Ten slotte schatten de meeste schattingen van de Gaza volksgezondheid zelf het aantal geboorten in Gaza tijdens de oorlog veel hoger dan het aantal oorlog-gerelateerde sterfgevallen, namelijk een groeiende bevolkingsaanwas.

Schandalig, in plaats van de inspanningen van Israël om burgerlevens te redden te prijzen, belasteren steeds meer leden van de ‘internationale gemeenschap’ de Joodse staat, waarbij de beschuldiging van genocide op dezelfde manier wordt gebruikt waarop bloedsprookjes door de eeuwen heen werden gebruikt om Joden in diskrediet te brengen, te delegitimeren en fysiek aan te vallen. Het maakt gebruik van telefoon- en sms-berichten, vliegers, sociale media en ‘kloppen op het dak’, waarbij de Israëlische luchtmacht een niet-explosieve raket of geluids granaten een 5-tal minuten voor een daadwerkelijke aanval op het dak van een doelgericht gebouw afvuurt.

De IDF geeft ook evacuatie waarschuwingen aan Palestijnse burgers en moedigt hen aan om naar gebieden te verhuizen waar ze minder gevaar zullen lopen door gevechtsoperaties tegen, door en met Hamas. Sinds oktober 2023 heeft de IDF-evacuatiewaarschuwingen afgegeven aan de twee miljoen inwoners van Noord-Gaza om naar het zuiden te verhuizen, waar ze veiliger zouden zijn. Israël waarschuwde burgers om Gaza-stad te evacueren voorafgaand aan het huidige offensief. De nauwgezette inspanningen van de IDF om burgers en strijders te scheiden zijn niet in overeenstemming met genocide.

Bovendien heeft de IDF massale leveringen van humanitaire hulp toegestaan bedoeld om het leven van burgers te redden. John Spencer, voorzitter van de studies over stedelijke oorlogsvoering in West Point, schreef over de humanitaire hulpinspanningen van Israël in Gaza: “Er is geen historisch precedent voor een leger dat het niveau van directe hulp aan een vijandelijke bevolking biedt dat Israël aan Gaza heeft verstrekt.” Hoe kan een land dat zijn vijand zo ruimschoots humanitaire hulp biedt, rationeel worden beschuldigd van genocide?

Ten slotte is Israël onvermurwbaar dat de oorlog tegen Hamas gericht is, niet tegen de Palestijnen van Gaza, hoewel uit peilingen door Palestijnse onderzoekers blijkt dat het grote merendeel van hen de terreurgroeperingen steunen. Inderdaad, Israël heeft consequent verklaard dat de doelen zijn:

o Het vernietigen van de militaire en bestuurlijke capaciteiten van Hamas,

o Het verzekeren van de vrijlating van alle gijzelaars, en

o Ervoor zorgen dat Gaza Israël nooit meer zal bedreigen. Bovendien, als Israël genocide had willen plegen, zou het binnen één enkele middag gedaan zijn.

Werkelijke dodentallen bevestigen dat Israël zich heeft gericht op Hamas-strijders, niet op Palestijnse burgers. Israël is er inderdaad in geslaagd het aantal doden van niet-strijdende Gazanen te minimaliseren in vergelijking met gewapende terroristen. Een studie van de Tamaror onderzoeksgroep voor Israëlisch-Palestijnse conflictstudies geeft aan dat tijdens deze oorlog “het aandeel (potentiële) gewapende slachtoffers toenam tot meer dan 45%, wat wijst op steeds preciezere targeting en overeenkomstige vermindering van het aantal burgerslachtoffers.” Het is dan ook geen verrassing dat de verhouding tussen burgers en strijders in Gaza veel lager is dan in vergelijkbare oorlogen. Terwijl de verhouding tussen burgers en strijders in Gaza wordt geschat op 1,5:1, is de gemiddelde verhouding in stedelijke oorlogsvoering in het algemeen, volgens de VN, 9:1 burgers versus strijders. Deze verhouding alleen al vernietigt het genocide-argument.

Bovendien is de bevolking van Gaza ondanks de oorlog – gemeten aan de hand van geboorten versus gewelddadige sterfgevallen – zelfs toegenomen. Schattingen van organisaties als het Bevolkingsfonds van de Verenigde Naties voorspellen geboorten in Gaza van 7 oktober 2023 tot heden op minstens 125.000. Vergelijk dat met gewelddadige sterfgevallen die in dezelfde periode worden geschat op ongeveer 70.000 door de onafhankelijke Gaza Mortality Survey, zonder vermelding van geëlimineerde terroristen – allemaal ‘onschuldige burgers’. In feite ervoer het gebied een netto bevolkingstoename - geboorten versus gewelddadige sterfgevallen, - het tegenovergestelde effect van een genocide.

Tot slot, hoe verhouden de totale doden in Gaza zich tot andere oorlogen in de vorige eeuw? Bedenk dat 16-17 miljoen mensen omkwamen in de Eerste Wereldoorlog; 70-85 miljoen stierven in de Tweede Wereldoorlog; 3-4 miljoen in de Koreaanse oorlog; 2,5-3,5 miljoen in de oorlog in Vietnam. Meest recentelijk werden naar schatting 5-600.000 mensen in de Syrische burgeroorlog gedood. Desalniettemin werden geen van deze conflicten een ‘genocide’ genoemd, zelfs niet de huidige gaande genocide van tot nu toe 1,2-1,5 miljoen burgers in Soedan. Daarentegen, volgens het door Hamas gecontroleerde ministerie van Volksgezondheid van Gaza en anderen, zijn ongeveer 70.000 Gazanen omgekomen in de huidige oorlog, op een geschatte bevolking van 2,1 miljoen. Nogmaals, deze cijfers komen niet in de buurt van genocide proporties – ze zijn het resultaat van een wrede stedelijke oorlog, een oorlog die Hamas is begonnen en waarin het zijn burgers als menselijk schild gebruikt.

Kortom, ondanks talloze ongegronde beweringen van media, NGO’s, de VN, radicaal-links en stompzinnige beroemdheden, weerleggen alle harde gegevens over doden in Gaza onomstootbaar de beschuldigingen dat Israël genocide pleegt. De waarheid is dat Israël buitengewone maatregelen neemt om het aantal burgerslachtoffers te beperken, vooral gezien het feit dat de IDF militair bij machte is dat zonder dergelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen er nog veel meer doden zouden kunnen vallen.

Ik verafschuw Israëls vijanden en hun meelopers om hun genocide-laster, veroordeel hun leugens en vervloek hun schaamteloze immoraliteit.
